the decoder page — well, the part of it you're allowed to see

THE CODE BOOK

Every world Matt builds carries codes. Some are clocks. Some are coordinates. Some are hidden in plain sight, waiting for you to press the right keys. This page shows you the artifacts. It does not give you the answer key. That's the game.

222
the number that follows him around

2:22 — the Lock Screen Moment, when time stood still and the whole thing started. It became the flagship's registry (NSS NORMAL · RE8-222), the style guide's alignment number, and a habit the universe refuses to drop. When you see 222 anywhere on this site, it is never an accident.

The Clocks — the Stardate System

YYYY.DDDthe Stardate — year, dot, day of year. Today has one. So did the day you were born.
D[n]Den Day — days since Wolf Den Zero was established (January 22, 2024 = D1).
C[n]Compile Day — days since the Compile era began (January 14, 2026 = C1). Its motto: "Nothing is lost. Only recompiled."
L:D5A8the Base Reality Code — the version string of this particular Earth. Witnessed on an LED display at Wolf Den Zero, June 1, 2026. Long story. It's real.
L:D5A8.D#.C#.YYYY.DDDthe full Nexus Coordinate — a jump address: enough information to leave and return to an exact here-and-now. Reserved for foundings and canon-grade moments.

The clocks run live on the stardate page.

Known Easter Eggs — declassified by the Captain

🌌The starfield answers to 222. On the stardate page, type 2 2 2 and watch the sky. That's the Lock Screen number, keyed into the universe.
🧭Nexus Coordinates are stamped on founding documents across the site and the archives — when you see the full L:D5A8 address on something, you are looking at a canon-grade moment.
🎪The Gazette, the games, and the carnival booths carry codes from the registry. They are not explained where they appear. That is on purpose.

The Rest of the Book

There are more codes than this page shows — era codes, registry schemes, model numbers, locked phrases, and at least one code that decoded itself two years after it was written. The full decoder ring exists. It is not published.

Publishing the answer key would ruin the hunt. Keep your eyes open. — 222
