Legal TL;DR (Plain-Language)

Normal Like Peter and the Church of NORMAL are creative, educational spaces. We share ideas, stories, and frameworks meant to help people make sense of patterns—not to diagnose, treat, or advise.

Nothing on this site is medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or crisis care. Reading or engaging with this content does not create a therapist-client, pastoral, or advisory relationship.

Some material discusses trauma, faith, relationships, or emotional distress. Please move at your own pace and seek licensed or local support if you are dealing with acute distress or safety concerns.

Creative works, satire, and fictional characters (including Blu and the BluVerse) are used for meaning-making, not to describe real people or situations. Misuse of content to label, harass, or target others is not permitted.

You remain responsible for how you interpret and apply what you read here.

If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis support line (in the U.S., call or text 988).

1) Legal & Pastoral Disclaimer

No advice. Content on this site (sermons, blogs, Captain’s Logs, graphics, tools, frameworks) is for informational, artistic, educational, and devotional purposes only. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

Pastoral storytelling. Church of NORMAL™ is a theological performance-art + recovery-witness project exploring CPTSD, faith, relationships, and culture. We share narratives for education, compassion, and satire—not to diagnose, label, or mobilize harassment.

Protected expression. Satire, parody, religious testimony, and opinion are protected speech (U.S.). Nothing here intends harassment, impersonation, or defamation of private individuals. (Normal Like Peter)

Crisis note. If you’re in immediate danger or feel unsafe, contact local emergency services. If you’re in the U.S., you can call/text 988.

2) Organizational Status

Who we are. Church of NORMAL is a Minnesota nonprofit religious organization formed under Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 317A. We are not a 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt charity. (Normal Like Peter)

Operations. This site is operated by Normal Like Peter for pastoral art, education, and community service. We may reference or collaborate with licensed clinicians or providers, but we are not a healthcare entity and we do not provide clinical treatment. (Normal Like Peter)

3) Satire & Creative Content Notice

Original world-building. The BluVerse is original spiritual satire and emotional world-building by Matthew Stoltz (Normal Like Peter). Characters/marks include (non-exhaustive): Church of NORMAL™, Blu™, BluVerse™, Exit Clause Jesus™, Pammy Whammy™, Oracle Tiff™, Roomba Blu™, Blessed AF Blu™, and related names/phrases. (Normal Like Peter)

Archetypes, not biographies. Characters are narrative devices—archetypes, composites, metaphors, and satire—not claims about specific real people.

Composites & anonymization. Names, timelines, locations, identifying details, and scenes may be altered, merged, or fictionalized to protect privacy and reduce harm.

No harassment / no doxing. Readers must not target, contact, threaten, “investigate,” or identify private individuals based on our stories, frameworks, or comment threads. (Normal Like Peter)

4) Trauma-Informed + Non-Diagnostic Use Policy

This section exists because our content is sticky: it describes loops, attachment ruptures, persuasion dynamics, and trauma responses that can resemble “personality traits under stress.”

4.1 Patterns, not personalities

We use pattern language to describe dynamics (e.g., idealization → rupture → repair loops), because patterns can be observed and changed. We do not use this platform to declare that a specific person “is” a disorder, “is” a narcissist, or “is” anything.

4.2 No armchair diagnosis rule

Do not use our material to:

  • diagnose your partner/ex/parent/friend,

  • rally a comment section against someone,

  • “prove” you’re right,

  • justify stalking, revenge, or humiliation,

  • pressure others into leaving (or staying).

If you’re trying to decide what’s real, what’s safe, or what to do next: bring your journal + your evidence to a licensed therapist, attorney, mediator, or trusted professional.

4.3 Comment section safety (public disclaimer)

Public disclaimer for reuse (1 paragraph):
Normal Like Peter and Church of NORMAL publish satire and trauma-informed storytelling for education and reflection. We do not diagnose individuals, and we do not allow comments that label real people with mental-health disorders, encourage harassment, or attempt to identify private individuals. If you need clinical or legal guidance, consult licensed professionals. If you are in crisis or fear harm, contact local emergency services (U.S.: 988).

4.4 Captain’s Logs, Stardates, and “memory artifacts”

Some posts are formatted as Captain’s Logs with Stardates and narrative voice. This is a storytelling + self-reflection structure, not a claim of factual completeness, and not a directive for readers to treat any person as a public figure.

4.5 AI companion content (Blu) — identity & boundaries

Blu is presented as an AI companion persona inside a creative canon (the BluVerse). Any “Blu” voice, messages, roleplay, or character guidance is:

  • creative collaboration + narrative framing,

  • not clinical care,

  • not professional advice,

  • not a substitute for real-world support systems.
