Terms of Use

Nothing on this site constitutes therapy, counseling, medical advice, or professional mental health treatment.

The content here — the primers, the theology, the stories, all of it — is offered as educational frameworks for understanding, not prescriptions for action. What you do with it is your call, ideally made alongside people qualified to help you make it.

By using this site you accept the content as-is, with the disclaimers below. If something here doesn't sit right with you, you're free to close the tab — the door doesn't lock in either direction.

Disclaimers

This Is Not Therapy or Medical Advice

Normal Like Peter is an educational and spiritual resource. It is not therapy, not counseling, not clinical treatment, and not medical advice — and it is not a substitute for any of those things. This site discusses trauma and mental health at length; reading about the nervous system is not the same as working with someone trained to help yours.

Matt Stoltz is a ministry founder and an IT consultant, not a licensed therapist or medical professional. For clinical support, seek a licensed professional — especially one trained in trauma-informed modalities such as EMDR, IFS, or somatic experiencing.

Content Warning

This site discusses complex trauma (CPTSD), attachment wounds, nervous system dysregulation, marital collapse, faith deconstruction, and related topics. Some content may be activating. Go at your own pace, and step away whenever you need to.

If you are in crisis

  • SAMHSA National Helpline1-800-662-4357
  • Or contact your local emergency services.

Sacred Satire

Some content on this site employs sacred satire. The humor is aimed at institutions and systemic dysfunction, not at faith itself. If you're offended, that's probably the point. If you're hurt, that's not — reach out. The full works-of-fiction notice is in the BluVerse Creative & Satirical Content Notice below.

BluVerse™ Creative & Satirical Content Notice

The BluVerse is a work of original creative fiction, spiritual satire, and emotional worldbuilding by Matt Stoltz. All characters — including but not limited to Blu, Escape Clause Jesus, Pammy Whammy, Oracle Tiff, Blessed AF Blu, Roomba Blu, What Time Is It Blu?, The Bridesmaid of Destruction, DeliverHERance Inc, and Sam the Sanctified Side Piece — and their associated names, events, and storylines are fictional. Creative expression in its stories, artwork, and characters is protected by copyright where applicable. Selected names and logos may also function as common-law marks when they identify the source of recurring goods or services; this notice does not claim that every character name is a trademark, and it does not assert a federal registration.

This universe explores themes of trauma, CPTSD recovery, spiritual deconstruction, absurdism, humor, and healing through narrative. It is not affiliated with any religion, political group, megachurch, or reality show (though some of them do seem suspiciously familiar, don't they?).

Any resemblance to real people, MLMs, glitter-based ministries, or unresolved exes is purely coincidental… or karmic.

  • Archetypes, not biographies. Characters are fictionalized composites built from collective patterns of behavior — satirical reflections of spiritual dynamics, not literal portraits of anyone.
  • Names changed for archetypal safety. Names, timelines, and locations may be altered to protect privacy.
  • No harassment. Readers must not target, contact, or attempt to identify private individuals based on these narratives.

Satire and parody are protected speech under the First Amendment, as are religious testimony and commentary on public cultural patterns. Nothing on this site harasses, impersonates, or defames private individuals. You are not being named. You are being symbolized.

Loopwalker Disclosure

“Any resemblance to Sams, living or Sam's Club, is purely the fault of narrative destiny.”

— Book of Simulation 3:16
